Decided to write up my experience following several attempts at getting a refund after deciding, within 14 days of buying a game.

Playstation Tech Support
CDPR have admitted fault and acknowledged the game's many issues. Playstation policy clearly states that in case of, for lack of better terminology, a broken product, you can apply for refund within 14 days (I don't have the policy in English here so I won't copy/paste it, since most of you probably can't read Dutch).
So CDPR says we can refund the game. I've contacted Playstation support service 4 times now and the first 2 times I was denied because I had already played the game and they were unaware of any issues with the Cyberpunk 2077. Voice recorder and editor for pc.
The 3rd time I was asked to follow an uninstall/rebuild database procedure, completely ignoring my arguments about bugs, broken quests and hard crashes. The 4th time they simply sent me a lazily copy/pasted story about going over to CDPR's page and follow their development in fixing bugs.
I'm stuck here with a broken product and have no interest in seeing it fixed. This might take several months, possibly longer. CDPR have failed to deliver. I'm not talking about hype. Sure, hype was enormous, but I'm talking about severe technical issues and 'placeholder' mechanics.
Does anyone know if there are any EU laws in place protecting costumers in case of buying digital products that simply do not live up to what was promised and, on a technical front, are so broken that some systems (AI, quests, gameplay mechanics) are simply not working as promised. I'll wager that in this case CDPR was simply misleading people to meet financial targets.
I'm deeply disappointed in the way both CDPR and PSN have handled this, by not handling it at all, pointing fingers at eachother, and leaving a loyal customer in the dark. Imvu old website.
How can we better protect ourselves? Is there anyone I can reach out to (EU lawmakers maybe, any other ideas?) to help improve this situation? If no one will hold these companies accountable, nothing's going to change.
